The (sideways) Laugh

I tried everything (really Dan, I did) but it is still sideways. Oh well, enjoy the laughing.

Getting ready for winter

Ben with props - our favorite game! Here is in getting ready for winter with this new toque. Ok, really this is our new diapers from the NEW and IMPROVED diaper service in Vancouver...need a diaper service? Ask me all about it (and use my name as a referral!).

News around Camp Good Times: We have expanded and added another camp. Camp Good Times East has opened up on Cotton Drive, just off Commercial. For some reason (read: tons of baby crap everywhere) Rachel decided to get her own place with the promise to visit us often. So Camp Good Times is spreading the fun and opening up just off the drive. Pink housewarming gifts only please.

Also, in honour of the collapse of the American empire, Ben's tooth popped through sometime this morning. Maybe that is why he was up at 5am raring to go. Or maybe it was because he knows Grams is coming from Chicago to see him today!

I'm working on getting some videos up but alas they are still sideways...

Just plain cute

This post goes out to the Splinter clan. We've got Dane & Ben on their jog in the Bob and Ben in his White Sox outfit courtesy of Aunt Laura. Grams in on her way next week and Casey is still trying to get Ben deported to Spain. We'll see how that goes. I would have been happy to send him this morning at 450am (: They aren't the best pictures but I'm going to put up the much requested video of the Jolly Jumper soon.

The inevitable

Anyone who has held Ben knows that the only thing he likes to do is jump up and down. Today my mum and I found him a jolly jumper at the local consignment store. The best 20.00 I've spent in a long time. Even Chester went for a bounce. We are enjoying Victoria but also looking forward to going home on Friday, seeing Dane and meeting up the Joey's club (shout out) for dinner.

Our little word nerd

Ben reading a book to Chester. Chester isn't very interested.

Our readership is being spread around the world (just by the Splinters' travels!). Casey is now in Spain for the term and Wade, Jenn and Ellery are headed to London for a year in a few weeks. Luckily Grams (Jackie) is coming out for some Ben time soon. All the Camp Good Times Moms will have visited this month (including Neale, Rachel's mom).
We were beginning to think Ben was developing Napoleon's sleep schedule (rarely, short lived naps etc.) but today the Splinter in him is coming out...some good naps today. He is laughing more (when he is not screeching over the whole teething thing). He still prefers to be standing than sitting or lying down. We are going to try some cereal one of these days. He is sort of in between his birth age (6 1/2 months) and his due date age (4 1/2 months) so we are in no rush to start food.

Here are some classic shots. Whoever decided to make shoes for babies who don't walk? Perhaps it was just for photo opts like this. Introducing Ben in his chucks.
