Lindsay visits and we learn to make jam

Major BLOG back load! We have done a ton of fun things this summer and have been to busy outside to put them on the blog. I'm going to get on it soon! Here is a start...we went strawberry picking when our dear friend Lindsay came up to meet Ben. From there, Dave and Helen came over to show us how to make strawberry jam (35 lbs worth!).

Entertaining the ladies...

Ben was getting his cool on before entertaining his new lady friends. Two of my good friends from swimming (Elaine and Margaret) came over on Friday afternoon with their brand new baby girls, Saskia Jane (right) and Paige Emily (left). By entertaining I mean attempting to touch their faces and go through their diaper bags. Both baby girls were early and Paige was even smaller than Ben. But they are both doing awesome now and were very well behaved on their lunch date with us.

Walking!

I have tried so many times to get a good video of Ben walking. He has been walking regularly on his own since we moved. Sorry this isn't that great but it is something for you out of towners.

Here are a few shots of Ben in full summer mode...board shorts and no shirt.

Worth the wait

Ben and I are in Victoria for a few days. Gail took these pretty darn cute pictures of Ben today. I couldn't resist putting them up. Gail also babysat Ben while my mom and I went to hear one of our favorite authors, David Sedaris, do a reading at the local book shop. Good times all around. I hope these photos were worth the wait!

Yam brows

Quick update...we are moved but still "disconnected." Ben is pretty much walking on his own now. This morning he decided to start saying "diaper" - clear as day. I shot some videos of the walking and will try and find a way to get it up here soon. Until then, here is a shot of him right before we moved. Dane was disappointed when he got home and Ben had already had a bath...what else was I to do?
