Tidying Up The Place

We have moved to the second floor of our house and are fully engaged in cleaning, purging, drilling, hanging, and trimming the excess from our lives. Ben wanted in on all of the fun. Enjoy the new doo.

I was thinking we should do the right thing and take Ben to a real pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin....until I came to my senses and remember we grew our own pumpkin (albeit on accident). Here it is!

who needs a hug?

I know we haven't posted much lately. I don't really have an excuse. We have been toilet training Ben and it is going remarkably well. Highlights for me are: when sitting on the toilet, Ben often reaches out and hugs me...just for no reason. Another one is when I go to the bathroom he cheers me on and applaud my success (as we have been doing for him). Nothing like that to boost your self esteem. The pictures are mainly because I needed to update the blog and I thought this outfit was particularly cute. - jane

the drop off

I dropped Ben and Dane at the airport last week so they could head off on their great adventure to "Ellewee's house in England." We arrived at this gas station after about 4 or 5 hours of travelling (including Target stop etc.). As we pull in, sweaty and hot, tired of driving, Ben says, "Ellewee's House?"
"Oh honey," we thought, "you have a long way to go!" But they made it and are having a blast! More pictures soon, but are these not the best?
