Many people have asked what Ben is going to be for Halloween. Originally we had nothing planned until this morning.

Peas??

I'm not sure if Ben liked the peas or not but I thought I'd include the photos. Speaking of fun-ny ask us about Ben giggling in his sleep last night. Like many good stories it deserves a verbal retelling. By the way, Ben is over 19 lbs now.

8 month photo shoot

Here are a few gems from today. Ben's 8 month-a-versary (shout out the the Nevens for that phrase). Someone slept "through the night" three times this week, ate squash, and a little too much info - got really constipated. I'll let Dane share those details with those who care to ask. Another photo shoot up tomorrow.

"Hats"

These two go out to all those Hope College students (and alumni, and Hope Grandmas that might have bought this hat). I caught Dane in the middle of a dance move, hence the groovy look on his face.




We haven't posted Ben wearing anything silly on his head in a few weeks. So for those of you who are missing that....here you go. Update: I wouldn't say he is crawling like a baby but he is sliding on his belly across the floor as if he is dressed in camouflage, hiding from his enemy. It gets him across the rug to whatever exciting thing lay there: a piece of paper, a sock, Chester etc.

First "Meal"

For Ben's first "meal" I cooked and pureed a winter squash from the Jacob's Well garden. He really liked it. Here are a few shots from yesterday.

Here are a few shots of Ben doing his thing. He has two teeth popping in now. He is into this side lie like he is posing as a model. We had a short but sweet visit with Grams from Chicago last week. Grandmas have a pretty amazing tolerance for grand children...non-stop playing all day! Today my mom comes over from Victoria before we head to Calgary. Ben will another Grandma play day today too!

For those of you who didn't see this on my facebook page. I promise to get some more up this week before we head to Calgary for my cousin Ali's wedding.
